The Net Impact Case Competition brings together graduate students, executives, and businesses that share a common commitment to innovative business practices that yield positive social, environmental and financial returns. In 2020 and beyond, it is not enough for businesses to solely focus on profits. Business plans must prioritize environmental and social factors as well. The Net Impact Case Competition provides students the chance to display their ability to solve problems using a multi-disciplinary approach to sustainability-focused professionals and companies.

Last year's case (2020-2021) was on Economic Recovery in response to a Global Pandemic. Students were challenged to create a path to economic recovery for a country in the midst of a global pandemic. They devised a vaccine distribution plan that creates equitable social and economic impact within a nation’s many diverse communities. Students were tasked with addressing the logistical and ethical challenges of delivering care when crafting their case solution. The 2021-2022 case will center on full spectrum capital. The case will be released Oct. 8, 2021.

Since 2001, the competition has helped corporate partners address a pressing concern related to sustainability by providing the best solutions from a pool of more than thirty teams of MBA and graduate school students from all around the world.
