Throughout the year, there may be opportunities to work as a Teaching Assistant (TA) or Research Assistant (RA) for certain classes. If you are interested in becoming a TA or RA for a specific course, please contact the Professor directly to learn if any opportunities exist. Please see below the description of each role along with the range of pay, depending upon the responsibilities associated with that particular position.

Teaching Assistant- A TA supports a faculty member with various tasks connected to the course. The tasks can include, but are not limited to, answering student emails, holding office hours, proofreading assignments and/or presentations, as well as proctoring exams. Certain TA roles also support with grading assignments based on set rubrics. The range of pay for TAs is $16-$32/hour.
 
Research Assistant- A RA assists a faculty member with a specific research assignment. The responsibilities may include, but are not restricted to, data collection, data analysis, writing reports and literature analysis. The range of pay for this position is $16-$32/hour.

There may also be opportunities to become a Lecturer for a specific course. A Lecturer is hired to teach on a course-by-course basis and is qualified to teach the particular course or courses for which they have been hired. For Lecturer positions, the pay ranges from $6,400 to $10,300 per course, depending upon the type of course and credit amount.
