Cracking the Digital Ceiling

Business & Engineering Women in Technology (BEWiT) is on a mission to crack the high-tech ceiling where women represent just 26% of workers. This multi-year program for intellectually curious students from the Leeds School of Business and College of Engineering and Applied Science aspires to embolden future leaders and create an inclusive tech industry.

Hallmarks of BEWiT include action-based learning experiences, industry engagement and mentorships, strategic career coaching, intensive tech training, a tight-knit peer community, and professional network development. This distinctive program helps scholars develop the three career-advancement ‘accelerators’: leadership skills (active listening, conflict resolution, empathy), a career strategy, and technology experience. These are the key drivers that guide the program and will catapult women into becoming bold leaders in the tech field.

The program's vision is to increase women's power and influence.  University of Colorado aspires to be the nation's leading tech-advancement incubator in business and engineering that produces the most talented entry-level applicant pool for top-tier technology companies and close the gap of women in high-tech industries.
