With a 30-year entertainment industry career with companies including Lionsgate, MGM and The Walt Disney Company, Mr. Packer has been a key architect in crafting strategies for capitalizing on distribution opportunities in a rapidly changing global marketplace. The event is scheduled for August 31, 2017.
Since Mr. Packer became President of Worldwide Television and Digital Distribution for Lionsgate in February 2011, the company has established itself as an innovator in the digital space and a leader in creating and licensing content to digital and traditional platforms around the world. His significant experience and success in the digital entertainment, television, and international revenues spaces lends itself well to Silicon Flatirons’ mission of supporting and enabling entrepreneurship in the tech community, and inspiring, preparing, and placing students in these areas.
Leeds Dean Sharon Matusik will be co-moderating the discussion alongside Dr. Phil Weiser , Hatfield Professor of Law and Executive Director and Founder of Silicon Flatirons at the University of Colorado Boulder. Dean Matusik, a professor of strategy and entrepreneurship at the Leeds, regularly engages with startups along the Front Range, teaching community members about entrepreneurship and sharing solution-driven insights to many of the challenges startups often face.
Silicon Flatirons, a center for innovation at the University of Colorado Boulder, works to serve students, entrepreneurs, policymakers, and professionals with programming and community engagement to create productive collisions and spark tomorrow’s thinking.
