New Venture ChallengeThe finals of our New Venture Challenge, our cross-campus venture plan competition, were hosted last week. Every year, this is a celebration of amazing work from our students, faculty and staff from all across campus in creating new ventures.

This year's winner, Specdrums, is a model of capitalizing on all the amazing opportunities our community has in learning how to create a startup. Their team is comprised of an undergraduate business student, an undergraduate music student and a graduate engineer.

"Specdrums is a great cross-disciplinary team"

Specdrums is a great cross-disciplinary team that took our entrepreneurship classes, competed in the NVC and participated in CatalyzeCU, our on-campus accelerator. And from this great engagement, they've created an organization that has hundreds of thousands in revenue and is making the world a happier place through music—and they're just getting started!

Congratulations again Specdrums. Go make it happen!
