Tony is a Ph.D. candidate in Accounting at the University of Colorado at Boulder with an expected graduation date in May 2019. Tony’s research interests include corporate governance, corporate disclosure of governance related information, financial reporting, and director labor market. He is especially interested in using textual analysis to provide new insights into corporate governance and disclosure.

Tony received his M.S. in Accounting from the University of Colorado at Boulder in 2014, his M.S. in Management Science and Engineering in 2006 and his B.S. in Business Administration in 2003 from Shanghai Jiao Tong University. Prior to joining the PhD program, he worked several years for EKS&H, Boston Consulting Group, and a large real estate developer in China.

Tony has won multiple awards. His job market paper received the 2018 Best Doctoral Student Paper Award from AAA Western Region Meeting.
