Leeds Social Impact Consultants is an MBA student-run consulting service for social enterprises and local Boulder/ Denver companies.

Leeds Social Impact Consultants aims to provide consulting services by recruiting CU MBA graduate students with diverse skills and backgrounds. We believe that both the rigorous business training we are engaged in and our previous professional experience will be of value in building stronger and more successful business solutions.

Types of Projects

We are open to projects that require the advanced skill sets we have been developing as MBA students. Some examples include strategic planning, marketing, finance, business plan development, program evaluation, and business model implementation among others.

We believe that all Leeds students have the qualifications and skills needed to consult with local companies. It’s simply a matter of finding the right project. These projects not only get Leeds MBA’s real-world experience in their area of interest, it also helps build their resumes and expand their networks.

How it Works

Our leadership will assemble a team of 2-4 MBA students with a breadth of experience in all aspects of business to match the needs of each project. Teams will be based on expertise and interest. Students who are interested will choose their projects in January at the LSIC kick-off meeting. Student projects will run from January through early April. We expect that each student will put in around 8 hours per month on the project, including monthly check-in meetings with the project contact person. There is a project fee of $400 and the funds go to the MBA Association non-profit group. Students are not paid for their services.

Applications for organizations are available online and are accepted on a rolling basis. All applications will be reviewed by LSIC leadership during December and will be presented to students at the start of the second semester in January. If your project is selected by a student group, students will begin work in January and complete the project in the spring.
