At this point in the pandemic, most American consumers have faced some supply issues—be it waiting for a part for your car, or not being able to get the perfect present during the holiday season.

On the premiere episode of the Leeds Business Insights podcast, Leeds School of Business Strategy, Entrepreneurship, and Operations Division faculty member G. 'Ravi’ Ravishankar explains why we are plagued with supply chain issues—and how we as a society can fix them.

“The supply chain problems have got tentacles that go in a thousand different ways,” he explains. “We are just facing the ripple. We've tossed a rock in the pond, and all of a sudden, this ripple is playing out, and it's making us rethink.”

Leeds Business Insights features conversations with alumni, faculty and others in the Leeds community, who discuss current challenges in business and offer actionable takeaways to help you solve problems and advance in your career. You can find an episode summary on the Leeds website, and can subscribe wherever you get your podcasts.
