Stefanie Johnson

Program Overview

The women of Leeds today will be the future changemakers, CEOs, and business leaders of tomorrow. As part of Leeds’ mission to foster an inclusive business environment for students throughout their time at Leeds and beyond, we are thrilled to launch the Women’s Empowerment Initiative. This one-year program for incoming freshmen will engage students in leadership development both inside and outside of the classroom while examining issues of gender equity in the field of business.

Through the program students will:

  • Take Professor Stefanie Johnson’s Women in Business course during the fall semester.

  • Participate in the Enjoy Success Leadership Program, an 8-module experience, during the spring semester.

  • Partake in a Denver-based career trek in the spring to engage with corporate partner leaders in gender equity

  • Be given a one-year $1,000 academic scholarship and priority placement in the Leeds Residential Academic Program

Who can join?

The program is available for 40 incoming freshmen who are interested in issues of gender equity in business. All students, regardless of gender, are encouraged to apply to the program and will be given full consideration.
