The weekend of February 4th, CESR Executive Director, Dr. Mark Meaney, travelled to Atlanta, GA to lead the 2016 UN Principles of Responsible Management Education (PRME) Chapter North America Regional Meeting. The conference hosted attendees representing over 38 US and Canadian business and management institutions.

This is an exciting time for the PRME Chapter, which has recently transitioned from the status of ‘emerging’ chapter to an ‘established’ chapter. This distinction marks a greater level of focus and cooperation amongst member institutions to create and foster innovative pedagogy & research.

Focus of the Meeting

The meeting was divided into discussion sessions covering specific initiatives of the PRME mission. Topics included engaging students in social entrepreneurship, cross-school research projects using UN Global Compact data, and integrating PRME principles and the UN’s Sustainable Development Goals into business curriculum.

Attending under his new title of Chairman of the PRME Chapter North America, Dr. Meaney spoke to chapter representatives on best practices for implementing PRME principles at their respective institutions.
