We offer plenty of ways to get involved with the stellar graduate and undergraduate business students who work with CESR. Whether your organization has an internship or job to share, has a project that your team just doesn’t have the bandwidth for, or would like to get involved with an event, we have an option for you. Please refer to the list below for more information about past opportunities. Don’t hesitate to contact us at cesr@colorado.edu if one of these options appeals to you, or if you would like to engage with our students in another way.

CESR Impact Internship Program

We connect mission-driven business students with opportunities in sustainable and socially responsible companies. We facilitate the recruiting process for natural products companies, B Corps, and other companies whose missions go beyond profit. Our team provides training and support for companies and students to increase the value of internships for everyone. Looking for an impactful internship or a talented intern who’s ready to change the world?

Student Projects

Teams of undergraduate and graduate students have helped organizations including Nike, Newton Running and Arrow Electronics with a variety of projects, including assisting with a B Impact Assessment and benchmarking their performance relative to the UN Sustainable Development Goals. Student teams have worked on communications plans and financial modeling for nonprofits and social enterprises as part of the MBA Net Impact Club.

Case Competitions

We offer two case competitions each year: the undergraduate Business Ethics Case Competition and the graduate Net Impact Case Competition. Each of these competitions seeks judges to provide feedback to student teams, and to help with creating a case. Most of the opportunity for the Business Ethics Case Competition lies in judging the final round where undergraduate student teams from Leeds present their solution to a topical business case. The iconic, student-lead Net Impact Case Competition attracts MBA students from around the United States and internationally. Each year, this competition has a sponsor who selects the case topic and provides the prize money.

Treks

Every year we bring groups of undergraduate and graduate students on treks to visit companies on the Front Range and in other parts of the country. We visit all types of organizations, from Fortune 500 companies to non-profits and B Corporations. These visits help our students to learn more about the diversity of roles and organizations that value employees with a strong foundation in ethics and a passion for social and environmental responsibility.

Events

Connect with students at a networking event or conference.

Please email us at cesr@colorado.edu if you’re interested in one of these options, or if you have other ideas.
