CESR Events

CESR’s upcoming events and programs are designed to help you turn your values into action through hands-on experiences, career connections, timely conversations, and a community of peers and professionals who care about responsible business. This year’s opportunities reflect what students have asked for most: practical, career-relevant ways to engage with sustainability, social impact, and ethical leadership beyond the classroom.

The SRE-CE-SUST flags on each event listing indicate whether that event counts toward the undergraduate SRE certificate, the MBA Clean Energy Pathway, and/or the MBA Sustainability Pathway.  If a flag does not appear on a event listing, it does not count toward that program.

Open to all graduate students and perfect for students interested in launching or working for a cleantech startup. Accomplished undergraduates may submit an application.

This year’s Leeds Business Ethics Case Competition (BECC) will feature undergrad and grad teams of 3-5 students each competing for a generous cash prize by proposing and defending an ethically compelling, strategic, and persuasive business proposal for responding to a case about the Ethics of Business in Space.

Join CESR and industry professionals for an interactive morning focused on how to navigate the ethical dilemmas that business leaders inevitably face in high-stakes decision making.
 
Our keynote speaker, Jeremy Bloom, is CEO of X Games as well as a former Olympic freestyle skier, NFL draft pick, entrepreneur, philanthropist, and former Buff. Jeremy will talk about how you can achieve great things if you lead with your values, though you will be tested at times.
 
After the short plenary session, self-select into an experiential workshop and an alumni roundtable discussion to tailor the skill-building and networking toward your career goals. Morning coffee and lunch provided.
