The Leeds Master’s in Business Analytics program is taught by an interdisciplinary group of scholars and practitioner‑educators whose research and applied experience shape how organizations use data to make better decisions. Our faculty bring deep expertise across analytics, marketing science, organizational leadership, cognitive psychology, and information systems, with academic training from leading global institutions and industry experience spanning technology, analytics, and machine learning.

They are deeply committed to helping students develop strong analytical and technical capabilities while supporting their academic and professional growth throughout this intensive program. Through a curriculum grounded in statistical modeling, data science, behavioral insights, and decision‑making under uncertainty, MSBA faculty prepare students to translate complex data into meaningful, management‑level insights across a wide range of business contexts.

Kai Larsen

Professor, Faculty Director, MS Business Analytics

ORGANIZATIONAL LEADERSHIP AND INFORMATION ANALYTICS

Most known for providing a practical solution to Edward Thorndike's (1904) Jingle Fallacy and for his contributions to the Semantic Theory of Survey Response (STSR). Kai was named one of the 75 leading Academic Data Leaders of 2022 by CDO Magazine along with some of the world’s best computer scientists, and one of the 50 Best Undergraduate Business Professors of 2023 by Poets and Quants.

MARKETING

Liu Liu is an Assistant Professor of Marketing in the Leeds School of Business at the University of Colorado Boulder. She received her PhD in Marketing from New York University Stern School of Business. She also holds a BE from Tsinghua University and an MS from Carnegie Mellon University, both in Computer Science. Prior to her academic career, Liu worked at Google for three years as a Software Engineer, developing large-scale machine learning models to predict consumers' ad click-through rates for the AdSense system.

ORGANIZATIONAL LEADERSHIP AND INFORMATION ANALYTICS

David G. Dobolyi is an Assistant Professor in the division of Organizational Leadership and Information Analytics, Leeds School of Business, University of Colorado Boulder. He earned his PhD in Cognitive Psychology from the University of Virginia, and his research spans a range of topics including cybersecurity, text analytics, and face recognition. His work leverages a variety of statistical methods including predictive analytics, natural language processing, artificial intelligence, and behavioral experiments.

MARKETING

Quentin Andre's research focuses on judgment and decision making in general, with a special interest in numerical cognition (how people make sense of numbers in their everyday life) and managerial decision-making (how managers make data-driven decisions in the presence of uncertainty). He also care about issues related to open-science, replicability, and reproducibility. In his spare time, he is developing tools and software to facilitate the collection and analysis of behavioral data.

Assistant Teaching Professor

Fairy Gandhi is an Assistant Teaching Professor with the Organizational Leadership and Information Analytics (OLIA) division at the Leeds School of Business, University of Colorado Boulder. She earned her MS in Business Analytics in 2020 and an MS in Business Administration with a concentration in Management Information Systems in 2025, both from Leeds.

She has been recognized with the Graduate Part-Time Instructor Teaching Award and the Leeds PhD Student Teaching Award (both 2023).
