Bryce Schonberger is an Assistant Professor in the Leeds School of Business at the University of Colorado at Boulder. Bryce is interested in how various economic factors, including macroeconomic factors, account for patterns in earnings quality and disclosure across firms. Specifically, his research investigates how raising capital shapes firms’ accrual and corporate disclosure policies. His research also examines how firm-level accounting information is interpreted and used by market participants in response to macroeconomic information, such as growth in real output or changes in interest rates.
Bryce received a Ph.D. in Accounting from the University of Southern California and an undergraduate and masters in accounting degree from the University of Colorado at Boulder. Prior to his academic career, Bryce worked in the advisory group at PricewaterhouseCoopers in Denver, CO. He provided electronic audit support to audit teams designed to help assess fraud risk and identify unusual transactions. Bryce is a certified public accountant in Colorado.
