Instrument Description:
Horizontal push-rod dilatometer. Measures linear sample displacement during programmed heating/cooling. Operating temperature: -180C to 2400C. Heated by graphite heating elements. Can be operated using Al2O3 or graphite sample holders. Can be operated under controlled flow of desired gas or stagnant air. Used to assess densification kinetics during pressureless sintering or obtain the thermal expansion coefficient of a solid sample.
