Biography

Scott Gwozdz is a Business Professional with more than 20 years of experience helping companies learn about their customers and build sound strategy. He has taught in CESR at the Leeds School of Business since 2009. Scott brings together training and experience in Sociology and Consumer Research from Harvard University (BA, 1991) with an MBA in Marketing and Entrepreneurship from Leeds. (MBA ’99)

Scott has taught BCOR 1010, Introduction to Business, for more than 10 semesters, and also teaches an undergraduate class that he developed called, “Values and the Power of the Consumer.” In his teaching, Scott draws on a wide range of experience, having worked in the Financial Services Industry, the Non-Profit Sector, the Agency World, Natural Foods, and the Tech Start-up Universe.

Scott founded his consultancy in 2003, First Person Marketing, and today continues to tackle select projects in research and strategy. Favorite Colorado clients include Pearl Izumi, White Wave Foods, and Thorne Nature Experience. Fortune 1000 work includes projects for Nike, Herman Miller, Nissan, Toyota, SABMiller, and Intel, and more.

Scott greatly enjoys his work tutoring varsity athletes in Business, Marketing, and Operations, since 2009. He is also a member of the Conference on World Affairs Business Committee.
