Sarah joined the Leeds School of Business in 2015 after completing her MPA at Indiana University’s School of Public and Environmental Affairs. As a graduate student at IU, Sarah developed a social entrepreneurship curriculum for 20 Fulbright students from across Europe, helped create a Guatemala alternative spring break program with an education-focused nonprofit, and founded the Teach for America/AmeriCorps Alumni student organization. Prior to attending graduate school, Sarah earned her BA in Communications Magna Cum Laude from Quinnipiac University in Hamden, Conn. and enjoyed such job titles as freelance journalist, orchard apprentice, start-up intern, organic farmer, trail crew member, and volunteer coordinator. A New England native, Sarah first came to Colorado as an AmeriCorps NCCC member in 2010.
Sarah joins Scholars & Honors having worked in the Leeds Career Development Office for three years, advising first- and second-year students. Sarah brings to the team experience in nonprofit management, social entrepreneurship, student advising, curriculum development and program management. What she loves most about her work is helping students discover and pursue their passions. In her free time, Sarah enjoys reading nonfiction, attempting to recreate recipes from foods she has tried abroad, and spending time in the mountains with her husband and their dog.
