Sarah Jeno joined the Leeds Advancement Team in March 2023; she has been with CU Advancement since 2021 when she started as a Development Director with the Buff Club.  Sarah is dedicated to advancing philanthropy, especially facilitating resources for institutions that have the ability to transform lives and improve the human condition. Sarah takes creative and dynamic approaches to her fundraising strategy and has more than 15 years of experience in advancement and development with a passion for building equitable giving relationships and connecting individuals with priorities that align with their values.

Prior to joining CU, Sarah worked for the Colorado Community College System Foundation. Her past experiences include major giving for the National Outdoor Leadership School (NOLS), where she directed and assisted in shaping a $30 million capital campaign, the Rhode Island Zoological Society and grassroots fundraising operations for the League of Women Voters. 

Sarah grew up in Twin Falls, Idaho and spent many years with non-profits in Washington, DC and on the east coast. She moved to Colorado in 2019. Sarah earned her MBA from the University of Colorado, Denver with a focus on Business Strategy and Sustainability. She holds a Bachelor of Science degree from Frostburg State University in Maryland.

Outside of work, Sarah can be found baking extravagant cakes, hanging with her nieces and nephews, or traveling and exploring the outdoors with her husband, Ty, and their German shorthaired pointer, Susan.
