Child’s Pose. Savasana. Downward Facing...Goat?

On a warm September Sunday, twenty adventurous Leeds MBA students made the short drive south to Golden, CO for a yoga session to remember. The outing was hosted by Rocky Mountain Goat Yoga at Skål Farm and involved about fifteen cute and curious baby goats.

The class started simple enough with everyone down in child’s pose, stretching out their backs and shoulders. Quickly, the baby goats saw their opportunity and within a few minutes, they had begun to sniff, nibble on and climb all over everyone. Hearing surprised yelps from fellow classmates prompted raucous laughter among the rest of the class, knowing they very well could be the next target of the excited goats.

Warrior Pose proved to be equally enjoyable as the goats found delight in walking through and around our legs while generally enjoying their human jungle gyms.

A goat yoga classic, for good reason, tabletop position gave our fearless goats the platforms they needed to show off their true climbing talents.

Without a doubt, goat yoga was one of the most enjoyable and invigorating study breaks the MBA program has ever done. Hope to do it again soon!
