Yining Lu

Yining Lu is a doctoral student in Information Systems at the University of Colorado, Boulder. Her research interest is at the intersection of artificial intelligence (AI) in analytics, measurement and psychometrics, and the evaluation of computational models in social and organizational contexts. She focuses on developing and validating constructs and measurement instruments, as well as designing and testing AI systems to support measurement and construct assessment in social science research.
Her research has been presented at major conferences including the Patient-Reported Outcomes Measurement Information System (PROMIS) Conference and the National Council on Measurement in Education (NCME) Annual Meeting. She has also published in the Journal of Eating Disorders.
Prior to joining Leeds, she earned her master’s degree in Applied Statistics for Social Science Research from New York University in 2025. She received her bachelor’s degree in Data Science from The Chinese University of Hong Kong, Shenzhen, in 2023.
