Kat Conte

Kat Conte has worked in higher education for approximately four years and brings a strong background in organizational communication to her role at the Leeds School of Business. She earned her undergraduate degree in organizational communication from Metropolitan State University of Denver, where she developed a deep interest in workplace psychology, professional identity, and effective communication within organizations. Kat plans to pursue a Doctor of Education in the future, with a focus on higher education and student development.

Originally from Florida, Kat relocated to Colorado and quickly found a sense of home in the state. Prior to her professional work in higher education, she managed both retail and food service businesses, experiences that shaped her understanding of leadership, customer service, and professional communication on both the front lines and behind the scenes.

During her undergraduate career, Kat served as the Vice President of MSU Denver Debate and as the Co-President of the Delta Rho chapter of Lambda Pi Eta, the communication honor society. These roles strengthened her commitment to advocacy, mentorship, and clear, purposeful communication. Kat loves being part of the Leeds team because of the school’s commitment to the full student experience, from career readiness and academic development to providing meaningful opportunities for professional growth and global exploration. Outside of work, Kat enjoys strength training, trying new restaurants, watching movies, and spending time with her cat and dog, Marmalade and Toast.
