Jamie Cheston

Jamie Cheston joined the Leeds Marketing Division in 2025 as an Assistant Teaching Professor, having previously spent several years with the Advertising, Public Relations & Design department of CMCI.  His transition to higher education offers a welcome opportunity to leverage his 20+ year career in advertising and brand management to educate the next generation of marketers.

After graduating with a B.S. in Human & Organizational Development from Vanderbilt University, Jamie began his career in Account Management, learning from some of the most creative minds in the agency world at Deutsch LA, Arnold Worldwide and TBWA\Chiat\Day across a variety of consumer categories.  Following a brief hiatus to earn his MBA in Marketing & Sustainability from Cornell University, he transitioned client-side and expanded his marketing skills at Johnson & Johnson, WhiteWave Food and Danone, eventually leading product innovation for the US division of the Australian dairy company a2 Milk®.

Students can expect classes such as Advertising & Promotion and Product Strategy to be heavily influenced by real-world experience, combining marketing concepts with practical applications to make learning engaging and relatable.

Jamie is also a certified Integral Professional Coach™ and creator of a marketing framework-based career coaching methodology that he leverages to help students craft and market their Personal Brand to prospective employers.

When not in the classroom, you will find Jamie at home or on an adventure with his family and ever-growing roster of pets, making the most of the beautiful state this East Coast transplant calls home.
