Max Blumenthal
- Assistant Teaching Professor
- STRATEGY, ENTREPRENEURSHIP AND OPERATIONS

Max is a two-time entrepreneur, angel investor, startup mentor, and entrepreneurship professor. He started Fincura, a tech company, at 23 years old that focused on process automation for commercial lenders. Fincura was acquired after 5 years, at which point Max continued to work at the acquiring company for 3 years before they were then acquired by Moody's. The product that Fincura built is being rolled out by Moody's across thousands of banks worldwide.
After Fincura, Max and his wife, Evan, started Blume Kids Therapy, a pediatric occupational therapy and speech therapy practice in Boulder. They have grown the team to roughly a dozen providers and administrative staff.
In addition, Max has invested in 8 startups (and counting!) across a wide range of industries and he enjoys mentoring founders and CEO's of early-stage technology companies.
Max started teaching at CU because of his love for giving back to students and sharing his real-world experiences as a young entrepreneur.
He lives in Boulder with his wife and dog, and you will likely see him out at bars, restaurants, or on trails in and around Boulder.
