Elmer Ramos joined the Leeds School faculty in 2020 after a 25-year career in the consumer products industry. He held marketing leadership and general management roles with companies spanning from Fortune 200 to post-startup, in both domestic and international markets. Most notably, he spent 15 years with General Mills, where he managed worldwide brands including Cheerios, Nature Valley and Nestle.

Elmer’s teaching portfolio reflects – and draws from – this rich experience: marketing strategy, P&L management, brand development, product innovation and international business. He has received the Leeds School’s 2026 Dean’s Teaching Award and ODA Faculty Impact Award, and CU Boulder’s Marinus Smith Award.

Elmer earned his B.S. from Cal Poly, San Luis Obispo, and M.B.A. from Northwestern University’s Kellogg School of Management. Beyond the classroom, he is a dedicated golfer, inveterate reader and easygoing traveler.
