Christopher Carbone

Chris Carbone is a communication instructor at the University of Colorado’s Leeds School of Business. He holds an MFA in creative writing and publishing arts from the University of Baltimore’s School of Communications Design, an MA in English Literature from the University of Colorado Denver, and a BA in journalism from Benedictine College in Atchison, KS.

Chris spent many years as a communications practitioner in the private sector, including nearly a decade with an engineering-consulting firm where he served as director of corporate communications. His areas of expertise include writing and rhetoric, public speaking, visual design and public relations.

He has more than a decade of teaching experience, working with graduate and undergraduate students across the curriculum in a broad range of courses, including composition, business writing, speech communication, technical communication, and writing in the sciences. He has taught for the Carey Business School at Johns Hopkins University; the English and biology departments at the University of Maryland, Baltimore County; and the School of Communications design at the University of Baltimore.
