Kathryn Wendell

Kathryn brings more than 15 years of experience in global sustainability, corporate social responsibility and entrepreneurship to the University of Colorado Boulder. Most recently, she consulted for, and served on the board of, The Climate Initiative, a nonprofit working to empower youth voices for climate action. Prior to that, she was part of the executive leadership team at Stanford Seed—the university’s Institute for Innovation in Developing Economies—where she led the development and deployment of systems and processes that enabled Stanford Seed’s programs to scale globally. She has additional professional experience in sustainability and corporate social responsibility with Chevron, the World Bank and Levi Strauss, and has volunteered with the Peace Corps in Ecuador.
 
In addition to her extensive professional experience, Kathryn has an MBA from Berkeley Haas, a master’s from Yale and a bachelor’s from Dartmouth. Her thesis at Yale concerned corporate social responsibility initiatives in Latin America. She is passionate about travel, having visited more than 80 countries worldwide, and is a Boulder resident.
