Dan Ivanoff is the founder and managing investment partner of Schnitzer West LLC, one of the region’s premier real estate investment, development and property management companies. Under his leadership, Schnitzer West has become recognized for creating innovative workplaces and living spaces, for delivering superior-to-market returns and for its value-creation approach to investment management. Today Schnitzer West employs nearly 85 professionals with offices in Seattle, Bellevue, Bothell and Denver. Schnitzer West has developed and delivered in excess of 6 million square feet of Class-A office and suburban office, flex, industrial and bio-tech space; 305,000 square feet of upscale retail and more than 1,250 luxury multi-family apartment and condominium units in the Seattle and Portland markets. Additionally, Schnitzer West has acquired and repositioned approximately 1.3 million square feet of commercial product. Currently, its Asset Operations group actively manages 5 million square feet of office, retail, and industrial property for its own account and third parties.
He holds two master’s degrees from the University of Colorado and a BA from the University of Idaho. He volunteers his time as guest speaker at University of Colorado, the University of Washington Real Estate program and Law Seminars International. He has served on the executive boards of Eastside Catholic High School, Urban Land Institute, and NAIOP and is a member of the Fisher Center for Real Estate & Urban Economics at the University of Cal at Berkeley. Dan lives with his wife and two children in Sammamish, Washington, and, in his spare time, enjoys hunting, the outdoors, extreme skiing, and mountain biking with friends and family.
