As I move into my third year as dean,
I am thrilled by the momentum the Leeds School has generated in such a short period of time. Our faculty are ranked #24 in the world in per-capita research productivity and are making substantial contributions in their respective fields (see Faculty & Research). Schoolwide, we achieved our 90% job placement goal for the fifth year in a row (read about the amazing things students and alumni are doing). And our Centers of Excellence and programs are all doing impactful work for the school and with the business community (see Centers and Programs).
I’m also optimistic about where we are headed, particularly in our key initiatives. We’ve made powerful strides toward gender parity across all business programs (see End the Gap). We’ve rolled out updates to our undergraduate core and Full-Time MBA curricula based on feedback we received in our Career Impact roundtables (see Career Impact). In addition, construction is well underway on our new building expansion with the College of Engineering and Applied Science (see Business and Engineering). This partnership is an important part of staying ahead of the rapid changes at the intersection of the worlds of business and technology, and has great potential for our students and for contributing to CU Boulder’s leadership position in higher education.
I hope you enjoy digging into the new Leeds magazine and getting a sense of all that is happening at Leeds. We appreciate your engagement with our community.
