For me, an accounting major with no formal finance or computer science training, entering the world of trading and quantitative finance seemed like an uphill battle. Yet, through a combination of self-learning, strategic skill development, and perseverance, I turned what felt like an improbable goal into a tangible reality.

While it’s important to take the time to relax, get re-charged for the spring semester, and watch your favorite CU Buffs win some football and basketball games, it’s also a great time to prepare for those pesky job applications!

The Leeds GOLD Board was able to participate in various Leeds Homecoming events, giving members the chance to meet other board members, learn about upcoming initiatives, and serve as a voice on empowering the new generation of recent Leeds graduates. - Community and involvement are two areas of life that I continue to appreciate more and more as I become further removed from my time at school. When I left high school, my only regret was not getting as involved as my friends or pursuing as many opportunities. I vowed to change that when I entered college, recognizing that the real value of involvement isn’t just in the moment but in what comes after — your legacy, the mark you leave, and the connections that tend to stand the test of time.
