The Dean’s Leadership Fellows Program was created in 2018 to enhance the leadership development of top scholars entering Leeds. Through the establishment of a strong cohort community, foundational skill development, and design thinking principles, the two-year program aims to support students to become forward looking leaders and innovative problem solvers.
The program includes the following components:
A first-year seminar course and fall leadership retreat with Dean Smith
A special DLF section of our First-Year Global Experience (FGX) course that will travel abroad in the spring, and a $1,000 scholarship to use towards the DLF global experience
Access to a limited number of reserved spaces in the Leeds Residential Academic Program (RAP) for housing
Mentoring connections with sophomore DLF students
Professional and leadership development opportunities, including workshops and specialized courses towards a leadership certificate
Regular social events and gatherings
How to join DLF:
Invitations to join DLF are sent to a select group of admitted students, chosen based on academic achievement and leadership exhibited throughout the high school career, by March 1st each year. Questions about the program or selection process? Please contact firstname.lastname@example.org.
