Welcome to the Natural Resources Law Center
Dedicated to informing and influencing natural resources law and policy
Overview
The Natural Resources Law Center was founded in 1982 to promote intellectual discourse over crucial natural resources law and policy issues and to foster practical and effective solutions to identified problems. The Center is committed to producing objective research and providing a neutral forum for discussions about these issues.
Over these past 25 years, the Center has gained national recognition for its research and programs. As an academic program at a major law school, the Center takes seriously its role in educating law students about resource issues and the value of policy research.
To improve the formulation and implementation of public policies, the Center provides governments, conservation organizations, business groups, community members, and other decision-makers in the West with timely, practical, problem-solving research. Moreover, the Center presents information to help national policy-makers understand western trends, challenges, and innovations and to foster national policies that reflect western realities.
