Exploring Greater Colorado - Beth Padilla

Colorado Law's "Exploring Greater Colorado" Series is an opportunity to introduce students to attorneys who practice throughout the state. We are grateful to Beth Padilla for providing us with insight into her community and her practice.

What first attracted you to the area?

The mountains, mountain biking, and less traffic.

What's special about where you live/practice?

It is one of the most beautiful places that I have seen. We have mountains, rivers, and lakes. We can litigate a case in Court all day and then fly fish on our way home.

Tell us about your practice.

I represent children in dependency and neglect cases in southwest Colorado and I am an immigration attorney too. My husband and I own our own law firm -- Padilla Law, P.C.

What advice do you have for law students considering opportunities in Greater Colorado?

Don't be afraid to hang your own shingle, but make sure you get a few government contracts to keep the lights on until you are up and running.

May students reach out to you with questions?

Of course! My email address is Beth@padillalawpractice.com
