Immigration Law & Policy

"Having worked as an immigration lawyer for more a decade before I started teaching, I understand that law students are vitally important to immigration advocacy. At the nonprofit Rocky Mountain Immigrant Advocacy Network, for instance, I simply could not have served my clients effectively without the critical contributions of our law-student interns and volunteers. Many of those students have gone on to become leaders in the immigration-law community. Now, as a member of CU Law’s faculty, I really love helping students explore their interest in immigration law; to develop their core lawyering skills; and to find meaningful opportunities to serve immigrants and refugees."
