"My research asks how immigration laws and policies shape the everyday experiences of immigrants. I focus particularly on undocumented young adults, examining how laws influence their college access, their relationship to the communities they live in, and their political activism. My hope is that other scholars and my students can take these ideas and apply to them to improve the lives of immigrants in our contemporary society. This is the model of engaged scholarship the Colorado Immigration Scholars Network and the Scholars Strategy Network promote."
