Mini Law School returns Sept. 2

The University of Colorado Law School’s popular Mini Law School returns September 2-30, 2026, offering weekly lectures on the theme “A Constitution in Crisis.”
 
The program includes discussions of historic precursors to the current constitutional crisis, how the crisis is impacting immigrants, and how much more democratic our constitution could be.
 
The sessions will be taught by leading CU Boulder Professors Jonathon Booth, Violeta Chapin, Blake Reid, Jennifer Hendricks and Scott Skinner-Thompson.

“Mini Law School provides an opportunity to understand current events in a legal context, offering perspectives from top scholars on issues at the heart of public debate today,” said Professor Matthew Cushing, director of the program. 
 
Participants do not need any legal background to enjoy the lectures, and there are no tests, homework or reading assignments.
 
The sessions take place every Wednesday, Sept. 2-30, from 6 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. MDT. 
 
Participants can join in-person at the Wolf Law Building (2450 Kittredge Loop Road, Boulder), in real-time via Zoom livestream, or watch the video recording at their convenience following each session.
 
The program costs $200 for the general public, with discounts available for CU alumni, employees, students and groups. Questions may be directed to mini-law@colorado.edu.
 
Registrants who complete at least four of the five sessions receive a certificate of completion.
