The Colorado Law Library is delighted to welcome Russell Sweet as the Assistant Librarian for Public Services. Russ brings a wide variety of experience both academically and geographically. Born in southern California, he graduated from the University of California, Riverside, and then headed to the east coast where he obtained his Master's Degree in religion from Yale University. He obtained his JD and Masters Degree in Librarianship, with a specialty in law, from the University of Washington in Seattle.

Prior to joining us, Russell served as a Reference Librarian/Lecturer in Law at Vanderbilt University School of Law in Nashville; Assistant to the Dean, Head of Reference Services, and Reference Librarian at Boston University School of Law; and as Assistant Professor/Assistant Director of Public Services at Gonzaga University School of Law in Spokane. He currently oversees a staff of three Reference Librarians, three Library Technicians and numerous student workers. Russ coordinates Public Services' efforts to assist students, faculty, practitioners and members of the public with their legal research and make Colorado Law Library's resources available to all Coloradans
