In order to become a Teaching Fellow, interested upper level Colorado Law students must:
- Complete a brief application form.
The application form must be submitted approximately two weeks prior to the fall registration deadline.
- Register for Education and the Constitution.
Individuals who are selected to be Teaching Fellows must enroll in Education and the Constitution. In addition to attending class at the law school each week, Teaching Fellows must visit their partner high school at least once a week.
- Commit to attending a teaching retreat.
All Teaching Fellows must attend a teaching retreat, which is typically held at the end of orientation week or during the first week of fall classes. At this retreat accomplished high school teachers and law professors teach Fellows how to develop lesson plans and help Fellows acquire skills for effective classroom management.
