We extend our support to any student who may have been affected by significant natural disasters and disruptions this year. We understand that such disruptions may make it challenging to submit applications, transcripts and letters of recommendation in time for CU Boulder’s January 15 regular decision deadline. The University of Colorado Boulder will extend our regular decision deadline to January 31, 2022 for all Colorado residents. Additionally, we will waive the application fee as well as accept a non-academic letter of recommendation from someone other than a teacher or high school counselor for students impacted by any of the following:
- The Marshall Fire in Boulder County;
- Tornadoes and severe weather in Kentucky, Illinois, Tennessee, Arkansas and Missouri.
To request an application fee waiver code, students should email firstname.lastname@example.org with the subject line “Application Fee Waiver Request – Natural Disaster.” The student will receive more information about a fee waiver through email.
