Join us for the fifth annual Women in Engineering panel at CU Boulder, held during the university’s 150th anniversary year. As CU Boulder reflects on its legacy and looks to the future, alumnae at different stages of their careers will share insights, lessons learned and strategies for navigating the engineering field and advancing professionally.

This panel offers students practical advice, exposure to diverse engineering career paths and the opportunity to learn from CU Boulder alumni experiences across generations. Attendees will also have the chance to connect with panelists, alumni, faculty and students.

All are welcome and encouraged to attend!

Hyder Construction will be on campus to talk with students about the company and its upcoming Spruce Street project, located just one mile from CU Boulder—making it a convenient and exciting opportunity for a summer internship.

The $70 million project, expected to be completed in early 2029, includes high-end townhomes with a strong emphasis on craftsmanship, quality control and attention to detail. Features include private rooftop decks with views of Boulder, the Front Range foothills, or the Flatirons, along with optional upgrades such as enhanced kitchens and rooftop hot tubs.

This session is geared toward third-year students considering the Bachelor's-Accelerated Master's (BAM) program and seeking information about graduate school, but all students are welcome. It will be held March 9 from 11:10 a.m. to 12:10 p.m. on Zoom. RSVP to get the Zoom link.

The fall BAM application deadline is April 1.

The Dept. of Civil, Environmental and Architectural Engineering virtual career and internship fair is nearly three weeks away on Wednesday, Feb. 25, 2026, 12-4pm.  Please Login to Handshake to update your profile, register for the event and sign up for 1:1 and group sessions.  See attached for detailed instructions. 

We strongly suggest you join this fair and talk to a lot of employers.  We currently have 26 employers registered.  Now is your best chance to land a full-time job or internship.

• SIGN UP for Group and one-to-one sessions – Consider group sessions as an information session to learn more about the company and to ask questions.  The 1:1 sessions are equivalent to you “walking up to the booth” at a fair.  Use those sessions for a personal interaction to attempt to get a follow-up interview.
• Register and update your resume – see the attached student prep sheet for instructions

Get a job now!  Please don’t wait.

P.S. If you’re not seeing any available 1:1 sessions or group sessions, it probably means the company hasn’t established their schedule yet.  I recommend you check back as employers populate their sessions.

The Kiewit Design-Build Scholars Program may be for you! The program supports students through scholarship funding, programmatic events, industry mentorship and a guaranteed summer internship. Students from civil, environmental, architectural, electrical, chemical, and integrated design engineering are eligible to apply.

The Center for Asian Studies (CAS) is offering FLAS summer fellowships for CU Boulder students planning to study modern Asian languages in summer 2026.

FLAS fellowships are federally funded by the U.S. Department of Education under Title VI of the Higher Education Act and are awarded competitively to support intensive language study.

⚠️ Important note: CAS has been notified that the FLAS program will be discontinued after summer 2026. This will be the final award period for the foreseeable future, and CAS has significant funding remaining—making this an excellent opportunity for interested students.

Award Benefits

• Tuition & Fees: Up to $5,000
• Stipend: $3,500
• Optional Travel Award:
  • Up to $1,000 or actual travel costs (whichever is lower)
  • Pre-approval and Fly America Act compliance required

The Geotechnical Engineering and Geomechanics (GEGM) group presents our Boase Seminar Series! Our first seminar will be Tuesday, Feb. 10, 2 - 3 p.m. in ECCE 1B47, featuring CU student researchers discussing their work.
