Mission Statement

The mission of CU Boulder's Department of Civil, Environmental and Architectural Engineering is the education of undergraduate students to become leaders in the professional practice of engineering, contributing to technological advances that benefit humankind while enhancing the earth's physical and biological resources.

According to the American Society of Civil Engineers (ASCE) 2025 report, “Top 10 Best Places to Be a Civil Engineer,” Denver ranks #6 in the nation. The ranking reflects current salary and cost-of-living data combined with recent job market trends, highlighting Colorado as a top destination for civil engineering professionals.
