Certificate in User Experience

Our students design interfaces and experiences that delight and inspire.

In collaboration with the Department of Information Science, the ATLAS Institute’s certificate in user experience gives students the skills and vision to reimagine how humans interact with technology. Students will learn everything from crafting wireframes and prototyping to understanding user journeys and usability testing.

Academic Plan & Requirements

The certificate is open to all undergraduate degree-seeking students at CU Boulder. It consists of four courses (12 credit hours):

  • Design Foundations or Designing Interactions
  • User Experience Design 1
  • User Experience Design 2
  • One additional UX elective
