The undergraduate interdisciplinary certificate in writing provides students with knowledge and expertise in one of society's most critical elements: communication. Academic Plan & Requirements

The undergraduate interdisciplinary certificate in writing is open to all students at CU Boulder and requires a minimum of 18 hours of work.

Credit hours include: 

  • Courses within the Program for Writing and Rhetoric
  • Courses outside the Program for Writing and Rhetoric
  • Practicum course
    • Required portfolio curation
    • Options relevant to specific interests and career goals
