  • From here you can see how many holds you have and learn about each one.
  • Each hold shares instructions on how to resolve the hold and who to contact if you have questions.

Tips for Resolving Holds

Stay in the Know

You can view your hold as soon as the hold is on your account, so we recommend logging in to Buff Portal to see if you have any holds. Staying aware of your holds gives you time to understand the actions you need to take before class registration.

Resolve Holds Immediately

Resolve holds immediately, before your enrollment window begins. Holds can take some time to process. This means you don’t want to wait to resolve your hold or you might miss your enrollment window, which can delay registering for the classes of your choice.

Set a Reminder

As soon as you learn about your enrollment window and any possible holds, set a reminder on your tech to help ensure you don’t forget about your holds. Set a reminder one week before your enrollment window begins to check in again and see whether any holds are still outstanding that you need to address.
