NEW CEAE student break space opens April 26 + bagels and coffee on Thursday, May 4!
Starting today, CEAE students can use room ECCE 1B65 as a student break and study space. This is a great space for CEAE students to meet with friends and colleagues and get work done! Please be respectful of the space and everyone who uses it so we can keep the break space nice for everyone.
WTS Colorado student chapter to host annual board elections
The Women's Transportation Seminar (WTS) student chapter is hosted by the CU Denver MURP program, but board roles are open to any Colorado undergraduate or graduate student. The link below says that nominations closed April 14, but the group is still hoping for additional nominees from different programs before they hold elections.

Quantum Scholars Program
Join a cohort of leading CU Boulder physics and engineering students committed to learning more and advancing efforts in quantum sciences and engineering. Twenty students will receive a $2,500 fellowship and academic program opportunity for the fall 2023/spring 2024 school year, but opportunities to join the cohort and attend the speaker series are available for up to 50 applicants. The Undergraduate Research Opportunities Program (UROP) invites CU Boulder undergraduates to join a team of students working with faculty on exciting research and creative projects—starting this summer! Projects are supported by UROP funding and typically provide financial support to student participants.
Henderson Companies Announces New Scholarship
Henderson Companies, the parent company of Henderson Engineers and Henderson Building Solutions, announces the Henderson Companies Scholarship. The endowment will fund up to 10 $2,500 scholarships for the 2023-2024 school year.
The scholarship is open to students nationwide regardless of affiliation with Henderson. Recipients must meet the following eligibility requirements:

Be in pursuit of a degree in engineering, architecture, construction science, or a related technical program.

A minimum 3.5 GPA for current high school student applicants; a minimum 3.0 GPA for current college student applicants (with a minimum 2.5 GPA for the most recent semester).

Submit a letter of reference as well as a 500-word essay.
Each recipient will receive $1,250 for the fall 2023 semester followed by $1,250 for the spring 2024 semester, given they maintain the requisite GPA and field of study. The scholarship is valid for one academic year, but recipients may reapply in subsequent years.
