Bio

Growing up in small-town South Carolina, I had simple interests like fishing, muddin', and sports, and I had a limited view of the possibilities for my life. In college, though, I relished every opportunity to try new things; dancing Salsa, going to concerts and movies, founding a Club Spikeball team, joining student government, and more! This experience inspired me to encourage other youth from first generation and low-income backgrounds to explore all their options and find what brings them the most joy. The most recent chapter in my life has brought me to Colorado, and I'm excited for what's next!

Favorite Spot Around CU Campus

My favorite spot for lunch is Half Fast Subs on the Hill, where they have wonderful daily lunch deals! I also enjoy dropping by Boxcar Coffee to pick up a jug of cold brew for the week, and I take every opportunity I can to soak up the sun on any of our 300 days of sunshine. You can often find me enjoying live music at one of the many venues around town and longboarding through our picturesque campus.

Best Part About Your Job

I love talking students through what might seem to be the most stressful and impactful time in their lives: choosing what's next after high school. I bring a calming attitude, helping young folks understand that this choice, while big and (unfortunately) expensive, is not all-defining. Choosing a university is but one aspect of your life, and the most important factor is being confident in your choice. I hope to provide you with enough information and support to feel confidence in yourself as you set out on a lifelong journey of self-determination. If that begins at CU Boulder, then 'Sko Buffs!
