Bio

I moved to Colorado in 2020 and still can't get enough of the mountains! I love finding a new hike with 360 views at the top or exploring a new campground where cell phone service can't find you! I am still in awe of the Colorado sunsets that turn our 300+ days of sunny blue skies into purple, reds, and orange glows behind the Rockies. I must admit that with all my love for this state, I'm still not a fan of the famous green chile you find on all the menus!

Favorite Spot Around CU Campus

On my commute to work every day there's a bridge with stellar views of the flatirons. During the summer months (when most students aren't on campus!) I sometimes stop the car to snap a photo. I must have 100+ of that same view on my camera roll. So, all that's to say my favorite spot on campus is anywhere with views of the mountains (Fun fact: did you know the "purple mountain majesties" in America the Beautiful is a nod to Colorado?!?!).

Best Part About Your Job

I started my career as a Broadcast Meteorology because I love science, numbers, and communicating to people. College admissions let's me do nearly the same. It just looks a little bit different! Instead of predicting the weather, I crunch numbers to forecast the number of students we can admit to enroll our incoming classes each year. Instead of talking to a camera about the 7-day forecast, I talk to auditoriums of students about their next 2, 3, or 4 years of college!
