Dustin Quandt

When I'm not juggling Rate-Based Service Activities (RBSAs), research projects or my two kids, I serve as the senior research and grant administrator for the Department of Civil, Environmental and Architectural Engineering (CEAE). I navigate the financial and logistical maze of research portfolios under $1 million, helping faculty untangle budgets, grants and compliance to keep their projects moving—ideally without getting buried in paperwork. 

 

Previously, I managed large-scale structural testing as an engineering project manager in the CIEST lab, coordinated the Environmental Engineering program and built a core facility that provided essential research equipment to three departments. With experience in forest ecology, analytical chemistry and optical physics, plus a deep-rooted passion for environmental science, I thrive on bringing order to complex projects—and sneaking in a trail run whenever I can.
