Teacher Licensure in Middle School Math
The teacher licensure program for middle school mathematics is an innovative new track for nonmath majors interested in teaching mathematics in the middle grades 6–8, an area of high demand across Colorado districts and beyond. Our students gain additional support through CU Teach, an innovative, nationally renowned secondary math and science teacher education program.

Academic Plan & Requirements
Undergraduate nondegree program
The undergraduate nondegree teacher licensure program is designed for current CU Boulder undergraduates in a college or school outside of the School of Education. The students will complete teacher licensure coursework simultaneously with their undergraduate degree coursework.
CU Teach
Students in the program for teacher licensure in middle school math are also able to participate in the CU Teach program. CU Teach helps math and science teachers gain tools and resources from the School of Education; College of Engineering and Applied Sciences; and the College of Arts and Sciences.
