Common Tutoring Resources for All Majors and Programs
ASAP offers free peer tutoring to students living in residence halls and the Bear Creek apartments, as well as to first year commuter students. Tutoring is conducted in a small group environment, on a wide range of subjects.
The CU Boulder writing center supports students from all majors with the writing process, from start to finish. Writing consultants are prepared to work with students on a variety of content-specific projects, as well as general writing feedback.

Math and Science Tutoring
The BOLD Center provides free, drop-in tutoring for first and second year courses in the area of applied math, chemistry, computer science and physics. Tutors are upper level engineering students who have all been trained to support students in entry level coursework of applied math, chemistry and physics.
International Student Tutoring Program
The International Student Tutoring Program (ISTP) offers individual and group tutoring for international students at CU Boulder at no extra cost. We offer tutoring for English as a second language and US academic culture. The topics we cover include:

The APPM department maintains a list of private tutors for students to contact. The list includes the courses each tutor will work with, along with their hourly fees.
Students can access various resources and opportunities within the APPM department related to research, fellowships and other academic supports.
The astronomy help room is coordinated by APS undergraduate and graduate students and is intended to provide academic support to students taking courses within the program.

The biochemistry department provides a help room staffed by TAs for all offered courses. Refer to your syllabus for specific times and locations.

The computer science help room and course assistance schedules are unique to the specific course and/or recitation you are in. Please see the course information in Moodle to see the specific location and times for the appropriate help room(s).
Undergraduate TAs are available to help students taking EBIO 1210 and/or 1230 in the fall, and students taking EBIO 1230 and/or 1240 in the spring. The EBIO help room is located in RAMY N197 (hours are listed on the door). This service is free for students.
The EBIO writing lab is open to EBIO majors or CU Boulder students who are enrolled in EBIO classes. EBIO's writing instructors will help you improve your written lab reports, research proposals, essays or other EBIO writing assignments.
The Department of Economics provides a free drop-in tutorial lab for undergraduates enrolled in ECON classes at CU Boulder. The lab is located in the basement of the Economics building in room 12.
The Department of Economics publishes a list of ECON tutors. The tutors on this list are graduate students in the ECON department.
The French department provides a list of trained French graduate students who can be hired for tutoring support. Additionally, the department also provides a list of approved students who are not current graduate students (and may not be employed by the university).
The Italian department provides a list of tutors, many of whom are current students majoring or minoring in Italian, for hire.
The geology department's tutor room provides free tutoring for students in any 1000 and 2000-level GEOL course.
The German & Slavic language and literatures department offers free tutoring for their language courses. Please see your instructor for more information.
The IPHY department offers an entirely volunteer-run tutoring program, operated by students, for students. The services are available to anyone taking an IPHY class. A student must be an IPHY major in order to receive support in non-IPHY classes that are required for the major (CHEM, PHYS, etc.). To ensure that every student has access to free tutoring services, a student is only able to request a tutor for one class. The mathematics department provides a free service for students looking for additional support for their CU mathematics courses. The Math Academic Resource Center (MARC) employs undergraduate students that have a strong background in mathematics and care about helping others learn. The MARC also has a strong contingent background of graduate students and learning assistants to assist students in all lower-division math courses, as well as many upper division math courses.

The molecular, cellular and developmental biology department provides free drop-in tutoring with course TAs in the MCDB learning lounge for the introductory MCDB sequence and labs. See your course information in Canvas to locate days and times.

The physics department provides a free service to students in lower-division physics courses who are looking for extra support. The physics help room is staffed by course TAs. Students in other physics courses are welcome to attend the help room, but there may not be TAs available for their specific course.
The political science department provides free help for students in PSCI 2075 and any upper-division PSCI course ending in "5" through the PSCI methods help lab. Because the hours change, please look for an email from your academic advisor with the help lab hours for each semester.
The psychology department offers free tutoring for students in PSYC 1001, PSYC 2111, PSYC 3111, and PSYC 2012. See your syllabus for details.
