Welcome!
The tutor room is a resource that exists to provide free tutoring for all students enrolled in lower-division (1000- and 2000-level) geology courses at CU Boulder. We seek to provide our diverse student population with the tools needed for academic success. The tutoring room contributes to our department's focus on peer education, skill-building, and empowering students to become independent learners. Our tutors are happy to help with homework and other assignments, exam preparation, group projects, and general comprehension. Our goal is that students who come to the tutor room will leave each visit with both increased understanding the material and improved study habits. In that spirit, we do not to simply hand out answers.
Give a student an answer and they get an A for the day; teach a student the material and they get an A in the course (and actually learn something).
